This LIONEL 13008 COMMODORE VANDERBILT TINPLATE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE WITH TENDER was fitted with a sheet metal shroud and became the first streamlined locomotive in America.

This set includes: Commodore Vanderbilt Locomotive and Tender, Pullman Heavyweight Combination Car, Pullman Heavyweight Coach Car and a Pullman Heavyweight Observation Car.

The Locomotive and Tender features: TrainMaster Command Control equipped - able to run in Command Control Mode or in Conventional Transformer Control Mode, RailSounds with CrewTalk, TowerCom announcements and DynaChuff synchronized chuffing, Operating headlight, Metal Standard Gauge couplers, Dual high-torque Pittman motors, Fan-driven smoke unit, Die cast metal Locomotive frame, trucks and body, tinplate metal tender frame, trucks and body, Separately applied metal handrails, Detailed cab interior and a Glowing firebox in cab.

The Passenger Cars features: Tinplate metal frame, trucks and bodies, Metal Standard Gauge couplers, Detailed interiors, Lighted interior and Removable roofs for interior access and viewing.
