This LIONEL 18461 TRACK CLEANING CAR uses dual rotating sponges with replaceable sponges. One is wet, fed by the track cleaning fluid reservoir. The other is dry and soaks up the excess. Fill the track cleaners reservoir with the track cleaning fluid, pull behind any locomotive or end of a train, and watch the track cleaner get the job done. The hefty die-cast metal frame and the mechanical rotating action of the scrubbers are very efficient. Each sponge is constructed of a dense, long-lasting material, it also has Die-cast metal operating couplers and Extra sponges are included.
